Robb Olsen

Robb Olsen is a licensed attorney, mediator, and arbitrator with more than two decades of experience in conflict coaching, training, and intervention across a diverse range of settings and subject matters. Robb is also the Founder and Chief Disruption Officer of Conflict Disrupted, LLC a firm offering conflict counseling, training, and intervention.

Robb currently serves on the adjunct faculty for Master’s level classes at Champlain College in Burlington, VT teaching such classes and methods as mediation lab, fieldwork, legal issues in mediation, negotiation, and online dispute resolution practices.
In addition to his experience in the practice of law and alternative dispute resolution, Robb spent more than twenty years in executive positions in the newspaper, multi-media, and television industries.

In his most recent media leadership role, Robb was a change agent for a traditional media platform organization (then owned by the New York Times Company), that was evolving to a multi-media news and information platform during the rapid growth and market disruption of dot-com competitors

Robb holds a Juris Doctorate from the North Carolina Central University School of Law, a Master’s degree in Mediation and Applied Conflict Studies from Champlain College in Vermont, a Bachelor’s degree in Speech and Communications from Monmouth University in New Jersey and a Certificate in Non-Profit Management from Duke University in North Carolina.

A pioneer in leading the integration of alternative dispute resolution into the traditional justice system, Robb opened the first collaborative law practice in NW North Carolina. He is also certified by the N.C. Dispute Resolution Commission and serves as a mediator for the Courts of N.C., the N.C. Office of State Human Resources, and the N.C. Office of Administrative Hearings.

A zealous advocate for the work of non-profit organizations, Robb serves as a Big Brother for the Suncoast Big Brothers/Big Sisters organization, has served as a volunteer business consultant for the Community Foundation of Sarasota County (FL), is the former Board Chair of the Child Protection Center of Sarasota, and Chair of the Child Literacy Allocation Committee of the Suncoast United Way. He has also served as Chair of Florida Press Services.
